Description
Silver barrel-shaped pendant bead with two single and a double filigree wire applied round it and one also at each end, linked by a loop-in-loop chain to the hinge axis with the pin from a brooch, of which only the hinge attachment for the pin survives, made from a folded strip. The bead is pierced by a small hole on one side and has a loop at each end, suggesting that originally it was linked by another chain to a second, matching brooch forming a suite; hacksilver.
